If you run into a situation where adding, modifying or deleting a web-part has caused the page not to load correctly (or error out entirely). It may be necessary to close that web part.
To do this, add "?contents=1" to the end of the websites' aspx page that you are working with. For example, if you were working with https://sharepoint.swinerton.com/default.aspx and it was giving you errors, navigate to https://sharepoint.swinerton.com/default.aspx?contents=1 to manage all of the web-parts.
